Standard Green White Midrange
A very strong midrange beatdown deck. Great in any aggressive matchup,
weak against control, and extremely fun to play.
weak against control, and extremely fun to play.
Creatures
Thraben Inspector (3)Solid 1-drop with card draw benefits in the mid-late game. |
Sylvan Advocate (3)A strong 2-drop that wins most early game trades, has vigilance, and gets stronger after turn 6. Enables Rhonas. |
Channeler Initiate (3)Better than servant, enters the battlefield with the same health and becomes and large creature. |
Tireless Tracker (3) |
Rhonas The Indomitable (1) |
Thalia, Heretic Cathar (3) |
One of the top creatures in this deck, provides card draw and can become a very large body on board. Enables Rhonas after 1 clue.
|
Rhonas creates benefitial trades in any beatdown matchup, and once you can attack or block you win any combat phase.
|
God tier value creature. Slows the enemy down and provides benefitial trades as a 3-attack first strike creature.
|
Archangel Avacyn (4) |
Heart of Kiran (3) |
The only card in the mainboard that is used to
protect your creatures. Perfect for fumigates or any other board clear. Plus a 4-attack creature with vigilance and flying allows you to get in lots of damage over just a few turns. |
Obviously Heart is one of the greatest cards for this deck.
A 2-drop that can rely on planeswalkers and has flying and vigilance. Most creatures on the board can fly this heavy hitter if for some reason you don't have 1 of your 10 planeswalkers. |
Enchantments
Oath of Nissa (3) |
Stasis Snare (2) |
Always a good draw in the deck. Early it allows you to curve into whatever cards you need, and late game it let's you dig for any answer you may need. Plus it always has the added benefit of casting planeswalker spells easier.
|
A great answer when you are behind on the board. Allowing you to completely remove any large or annoying creature the enemy may have. If you aren't behind all it does is put you farther ahead.
|
Planeswalkers
Gideon, Ally of Zendikar (4) |
Nissa, Voice of Zendikar (4) |
Gideon of the Trials (2) |
Obviously one of the best cards in this deck and your best chance against control. After Gideon resolves the game is mainly in your favor.
|
Great token creature for westvale or buffing on all of your creatures. Almost never worth it to get to -7, but can be great late game if you can get there.
|
Mostly in the deck for fun interactions and +1. The emblem provides a few points of health before you lose this gideon.
|
Lands
Fortified Village (4) |
Canopy Vista (4) |
Scattered Groves (1) |
Great early game land for mana fixing. Plus you are able to reveal canopy vista or scattered groves if you need to do so.
|
Later in the game this land can always be helpful for more mana fixing, will most likely swap some out for scattered groves so it can cycle late.
|
Great card for mid-late game. Although it does suck for it to come in tapped if you need to play it, the cycling element is amazing.
|
Forest (5) |
Westvale Abbey (3) |
Plains (5) |
Game winning card if there is no response. Creature production is not too difficult with nissa and gideon. Plus 1 life to produce a blocker late game is great.
